PPE aka Motorcycling Gear @ 01/08/19

I'm slowly getting all my gear. There were a couple of things said on YouTube that I agree with about gear....

• What price do you put on parts of your body ?
• Your gear is always upgradeable.

Helmet

Current - LS2 Rapid Gloss Black
Upgrade - None planned
Comments - I find it very comfortable even in the recent exceptionally hot weather.  I would like to add a visor insert though to prevent fogging especially since the visor has pin lock. Having now seen the matt black one, I would rather have had that but that's a cosmetic thing.

Jacket

Current - Tuzo Black And white
Upgrade - None planned
Comments - Its a very versatile jacket and I like it but it does have a couple of niggles.  The removable lining has a mobile phone pocket that's so small I cant fit my Galaxy S4 in it which is hardly a big phone.  Consequently my phone lives in a hidden pocket outside the main zip which in some ways is easier as its more accessible.  I also find that the armour in the arms tends to slip down away from my elbows when I put the jacket on. The sleeve liner is moving I think. A quick tug of it back up when I put the jacket on and it solves the problem.  I'm amazed for a textile jacket how waterproof it really is though.

Gloves

Current - Viper
Upgrade - Knox Handroids
Comments - My current gloves are great. I have no issues with them but to be honest my snowboarding gloves with wrist supports are better apart from the knuckles.  Will be upgrading when I can.  I just cant justify upgrading when things like trousers and boots are missing.

Trousers

Current - None
Upgrade - N/A
Comments - I've tried 3 times off Ebay to get some Rhoxx jeans that fit.  I think if the next set that I order dont fit I'll head off to a dealership / retail outlet to buy some in person.  I'm not happy riding around in normal jeans.  It just doesnt feel right.

Boots

Current - Karrimor Walking Boots
Upgrade - N/A
Comments - I'd love a set of boots but having very wide feet I'm struggling to find some that fit.  A friend suggested looking at less conventional boots as they are wider.  Apparently you can get some that look like trainers now.

Accessories

Snood

Current - None
Upgrade - ??
Comments - Currently looking for one.  Its not major important at the moment as its summer.  I did try my snowboarding one but it was way to warm.

Helmet Cam

Current - Stealth 170
Upgrade - N/A
Comments - Decided to get one after a near miss on both sides in Cheltenham.

Intercom

Current - None
Upgrade - ??
Comments - Still undecided on this one.  My feeling is I don't want to want until I need one but at the same time I dont have the money to waste on something thats not going to get used really.  I suspect I will buy one when my phone mount is installed and I can run bluetooth instead of wired.
